Picking up New Boat. I saw a checklist once...where???

Anyone know where it is? There was a number of things to look for in a well organized list. Mine is an 07 LSV.

It's on page 4 of my 2004 Outback Owner's Manual. But you can't have mine, you gotta get your own. :P

Things to bring:
Orange flag, anchor, lifejackets, bumpers, etc.
GPS for calibrating speedometer
MP3 CD for stereo checkout (preferably Jimmy Buffett)

Licensing stuff (note this is a new dealer barely set-up, you may have all that done):
Boat letters – installed
License plate for trailer
All required documentation on board

Things to learn:
Where all the plugs are and when to use them
Fuel filters, oil filter, oil drain – Water filter cleaning
Which bulbs and how do you replace trailer lights – all lights.
How to use the flush kit.
How to drain the water out of the motor for winterizing.
(everything else can be done later but every boat owner should be able to do that much)
Periodic MX schedule review
Fuse location, spare fuses, and understand where all the wires are run.
Recommended configuration for stuff carried on boat (where to put it)
Tools (which ones)
Cleaning stuff
Life jackets
Bumpers
When should I switch to synthetic oil?
Practice docking
Practice loading
How to use the Bimini

Things to inspect (based upon way too much time reading about boats):

Gel-coat – any issues
Screws through the padding in the back, and anywhere else (into storage areas from trim).

Gas tank integrity (I heard of one with a screw in it).
Ventilation hose from scoop to floor (I heard of one not connected).
Check that all bolts are tight.
Wiring properly located.
Bimini folds out

My list from when I bought in 05 - I added check the bimini - some of the other stuff is long solved.

Boaters license for those who have states or provinces that require a license. By the time I need the license, I will have Alzheimer’s and forget to have it anyway. It would be nice if a copy of the license would work so a boat owner could keep a copy from the usual drivers in the boat all the time. For Wa state:

Mandatory Boating Safety Education is now a reality for Washington Boaters. Starting in January 2008, boaters 20 years old and under will need to have their cards with them when operating a boat. State Parks is currently implementing the process for approval of the Washington Administrative Code (WAC) that will define how the program will operate. Meanwhile, everyone has questions and this sheet is provided to answer as many of these questions as possible at this time.

When will I need to have a card?
Here is how the program will be phased in:

January 1, 2008 - All boat operators twenty years old and younger;
January 1, 2009 - All boat operators twenty-five years old and younger;
January 1, 2010 - All boat operators thirty years old and younger;
January 1, 2011 - All boat operators thirty-five years old and younger;
January 1, 2012 - All boat operators forty years old and younger;
January 1, 2013 - All boat operators fifty years old and younger;
January 1, 2014 - All boat operators sixty years old and younger;
January 1, 2015 - All boat operators seventy years old and younger;
January 1, 2016 - All boat operators over 12 years will be required to have a card.
Persons born before January 1, 1955 are exempt.
