The twist is no real concern. The Buckle mount on the trailer already skews the strap, not ideal to begin with.

Agree the twist would not be a concern. That pic looks close to the eye on the previous mounts.

Supra removed the eyelet because with thrusters, the strap would load the thruster bracket.

Even with the new location, the strap touches the bottom of the thruster slightly.

Seems the consensus between the dealer and forum is there isn't a cause for concern with the twist. That helps put my mind at ease. Thanks everyone. I'm sure this won't be my last question that seems fairly simple. Haha

LOL! I remember that post. It spiraled off in so many different directions! Everything from new boat pictures (great looking SL by the way), engine panels, seat gaps, to the Back to the Future Toyota SR5! LOL.

I just got the boat back from the dealer after 20 hour service, winterization, and a few small warrantee fixes. They adjusted the angle of the transom strap mount on the trailer frame. Apparently, it was tightened down too much and at an angle causing the straps to twist. It looks much better now. I am much more comfortable with how it looks. And, they do hook into the swim platform brackets, but there is way less twist and it actually looks like it was designed in that manner and not an afterthought. Glad they checked it out for me.

Pics of the adjusted orientation of the buckle mounting?
