    Default Rear sliding seat

I have a tear in the vinyl on my rear sliding seat. It’s covered under warranty, but what Moomba sent my dealer was a new “skin”. Haven’t seen it yet, but understand it’s a new vinyl wrap. But my dealer doesn’t do upholstery, so not it appears to fall on me to deal with figuring out how to remove the sliding seat, finding an upholsterer, taking the seat and the “skin” to them and I pay them to make the fix. Doesn’t seems like a good way to handle warranty. If the dealer can’t fix it, shouldn’t they sent me a new seat? Anyone one else deal with something like this? I had a bow cushion tear too and they sent an entire cushion replacement.

I would think the dealer should take it to an upholstery shop for you. Most have one they do regular business with.

The vinyl warranty covers materials for longer then it covers labor. I forget how many years it covers each but if your outside the labor warranty then it sounds right. If your still in the warranty for labor they should do it for you.

Going out on a limb here.....but a 2022 Mojo in the OP sig would mean labor should be included. This is your dealer's problem for a little while longer. They have to have a regular shop they use and then they can back charge Skiers for the repair.

exact same thing has happened on my 21 Craz. The dealer has a new skin coming and said when it arrives they will send the seat and the new skin to a local upholstery shop to get it done under warranty. I would assume yours will be the same.

I had a similar issue. It was fully covered by warranty.

I had an issue with the observer seat on my MC and I was sent an entire seat. I still have it wrapped in the original packaging to install whenever I decide to sell the boat.
