    Default Keeping Kids Warm

What is everyone using to keep the kids warm in the boat. You know, after they come out of the water and have to keep their wet life jacket on. Then they get cold, start complaining and try their best to ruin the adults fun? 22 Mojo, no heaters. Any specia blankets or jackets that folks are using?

    TIA

Perhaps a change to a dry life jacket?

Life jacket is just part of it. There is also wet bathing suit, wind from the boat etc.

There are several companies that are making blankets. Surfinity, Hyperlite, and Mambe - probably more.

    Works with the heater.

    Expensive.

You can add a heatercraft heater to your boat.

knowing it's important to keep the kiddo's engaged and excited about recreating, I'd spend a few $$ on a waterproof blanket as mjh suggests(amazon has examples for under $50) and as larry points out, my FIRST winter mod would be a heater. the few bills you will spend on it will be money well spend in the long run.
I'd mount the heater in the observers storage rather than under the dash for more tubes on the observers side for the kids.
you could also opt for installing seat heaters under the vinyl over the winter as well but that's much more engaged and likely more expensive than a heater but it's another option.

I would swap lifejackets once out as my experience is a jacket will hold water/cold a lot longer than boardshorts.

Neoprene life vest - dry faster
Store life vest in tray above engine - heats them and helps dry them faster
Liquid force (and others) make "changer towels" they are like towel ponchos that work over the life vest.
Close the window and use the bow filler as a block to stop the heavy breeze while moving.

Heaters are great but costly. Being a new boat might be worth the upgrade.

My wife keeps an extra life jacket and a change of clothes for our little girl. She also has a towel hoodie she can put on. Our boat has a walk through wind blocker and heaters, so that helps.

    1. Dry Life Jackets - Make a big difference!
    2. Ponchos are sweet too.
    3. Heaters are so good...my youngest constantly uses them.
