Default Throttle is hard to put in reverse

2006 moomba is hard to put into reverse. I think I found what it's catching on. I don't know a whole lot about the throttle. Anyone's help would be great. If my theory is correct how do I tighten that screw? See pictures

Hard to see exactly whats going on in your photos. I had a hard to shift into reverse issue a couple years ago. Turns out when I reconnected the hose for the water going to the mufflers I routed it over the linkage instead of under. It was an easy fix for me.

With the boat off, can you move the throttle into different positions and else the screw head?

Otherwise might have to disassemble thing to access.

This is behind the throttle lever and part of it. I can't get to it in any of the positions. I'll probably have to take it apart this fall after the season is over. Anyone know where I can get a replacement if needed?

Any way you can reach the screw head with a good pair of needlenose pliers to turn it. Not ideal and may have to turn it in small increments, but it looks pretty short.

That is my next plan. I tried using not so good needle nose pliers and it didn't work. I'll order some smaller ones and hopefully that work. I'm also wondering if it may just be warn out? Thanks for the advice.
