    Default Fuel not being pulled from the tank

    98 Moomba Outback fuel pump working and just changed fuel filter. No gas coming from fuel pump. What is the electric part on top of the fuel tank. Does it help pull gas? My fuel gauge seems to work. Please see pic and let me know what this does. Also any help getting gas to fuel pump.

    That is the fuel gage sender. Line check, vent check and the oil pressure switch is next.
