Don't you think of they designed a product for gas it would obviously overcome that shortcoming?

So interesting story. Our friends have a lake house, and it's a $500 fine if they catch you fueling your boat while it's in the water.
Obviously idiots with no skill spilling fuel in the lake ruined it for everyone else.

stands to reason there if you can't pump your own gas then why should you fill your own boat...

I've used VP cans for years as the places we went to didn't have marinas or gas stations or boaters. A full tank of gas and 6 cans in the boat. What gas didn't get used in the boat went into the motor home for the ride home. My predictive maintenance on the boat gave me an operational fuel pump for fueling. For my dirt bike, I used the benders to make it easier.

40 gallon tank that fits it the back the truck bed. Looks like a under rail toolbox. In and out with the forks on the tractor.
Use a hand crank pump from TSC with a built on fuel filter.

I have 2 rigs for this. One for gas toys one for diesel toys.

The Tera Pump works great, fairly quick and can be used below the level of the fuel tank. The best feature would be the auto shut off.

It's an expensive option but flo fast hand crank and containers are really nice. I have 5 x10.5 gal jugs and a flat folding dolly cart from Costco. Fits three jugs at a time. Push the cart up to my boat, fill, and repeat.

Northern tool with $20 off coupons is the cheapest place to get them. Occasionally will see them used on FB marketplace.

Typically fill at Costco on my way out of town and figure I pay for about a jug per weekend on the $savings vs filing at station near the lake.

Do you always drain all the fuel from the tanks into your boat/toys?

Correct to assume if not you could start to get water in tank with the fuel?

That is the reason for the filter setup. I was worried for the same reasons but water hasn't been a concern so far. I put stabilizer in the gas and additive in the diesel. I truly only fill them twice a season. Living 20 minutes minimum to a fuel station I got tired of running out when using the tractor and SxS.

Right on. I do the same for stabilizer and additives.

If I get my dock built next year, I have the ability to drive right down to the water's edge. Not sure what system I would use to fuel the boat driving from the local gas station.
