    Default Gas cans

I have been using my gas cans more often this year.

My current 5G cans without vents were not cutting it and leaked more that I could tolerate and take forever to dump 5 gallons.

Looked at the VP race cans and stumbled across the rural king gas cans for half the price.

    https://www.ruralking.com/5-gallon-p...-container-red

Made in the USA, no leaks and hold 5.5 gallons. I tested with water and with vent fully open, no leaks.

Drains 5.5 gallons in about 75 sec.

Technically these can’t be sold as gas cans due to the venting and free flow nozzles, but honestly nobody will ever question a red gas can.

I wonder if these are the same height as the VP. I had some farm brand jug before and it was taller and eventually the cap on the breather cracked and broke off and I couldn't find a replacement.

All the rest of my jugs (6) are VP. And honestly I'll stay with them because they have the smaller opening on the lid (better if I ever wanted to use the turbo siphon), but more importantly they are the perfect height to fit under the hard tonneau cover of my f150.

I have 5 clear and 1 red that a buddy gave me. I like the clear because it's so much easier to see fuel level when filling. I live on the west coast and have even filled in Oregon where you can't typically pump your own. Never ever been sweat on having clear jugs. They are so common in power sports, it's all good. Filled up 2 last night to maximize my fuel points discount...

Have you ever tried the turbo siphon? It's was literally purpose built for this task and intended as an improvement over the shaker...

Yuck! Not a big fan of mouth siphoning gas vapor. My sister in law bought a couple of these and they are excellent: https://www.amazon.com/SWANLAKE-Port...s%2C115&sr=8-8

I have a rattle siphon and would use it if my boat was in water and gas can was on the dock. Obviously the can needs to be higher than the gas tank.

I am filling with cans with boat on trailer.

You BLOW into the little hose, and never get the gas fumes or liquid in your mouth! LoL.

Don't you think of they designed a product for gas it would obviously overcome that shortcoming?

    Remember, blow don't suck!

Not sure it is an improvement, just different. Been using these shaker siphons for years, never had 1 fail and easy to roll up and store.

I use a vp style can I bought from solo performance. They are clear which I prefer and work soooooo much better than a janky epa fuel can. I love how they store as well.
