Default Difference between the oj 945 and oj 950

I was trying to look but can’t find out the difference in the 945 versus the 950. I have the 950 on the boat now and a 945 as a spare. Can someone tell me what each are used for mainly.

Truthfully you will probably never tell the difference between the 2.

    945 15x13 cup .120
    950 15x13 cup .130

Cup is the bend in the blades (think bending the blades backward)
Blade cup will allow more space between the prop and boat and is a way to get higher top speed out of a torque prop.

I have the 945 on my mojo I like the low end force for pulling and surfing with a large crew. 22mph for other sports is easy also with the same crew size.

My friends craz has the 950. He has plenty of power and surfs heavy 90% of the time. His daughter wakeboards with mostly full ballast all the time (his rear bags are 1200's) without problem.

Neither of us race around the lake so we have never tested top speed between the 2.

I was also looking at this. I have the 945.

Apparently the newer model is the 948. Anyone have any more info?

    Website states 15x14 .120.

Any idea why they went to 14 versus 13?

I might be smoking crack, but didn’t one of the 94X props have a “prop sing” issue?

Perhaps, the combo of pitch/cup created a resonance that was undesirable and OJ tuned around it.

OJ came out with the 950 and 951 for a specific boat brand that was having slight clearance issues. Talking with them, he told me that if you can run a 945 or 948, then you should. It had nothing to do with harmonics or prop sing. Some tried to say it was to give more top end while still having low end grunt, but that isn't the case, at least according to the guy that designs and makes them. More cup effectively makes the prop smaller in diameter.

With a large crew + full ballast + lead I run close to 10k floating. Getting that on plane you want the 15x13 over the 15x14. I bought the boat with the acme 1235 (14.5x14.25) it worked great until 10+ people were on the boat. Not sure how you run your Mojo, so if you are lighter the OJ 948 might be your sweet spot.

So the 950 is on the boat now. We just mainly surf and pull the kids on the tube. No wake boarding unless a buddy wants to. Which one would be better for that

Again, you will not notice a difference going from 950 to 945.
Run what is on it and have a great season. 945 is a backup and if/when the 950 gets dinged you can swap and still have a good time without any change.

I’m close to 10K and the 945 works well. Just needing a spare prop. Saw oh has come out with a v4 wake/surf I think it’s the 1919. Looks
