2022 Boat Shows
Anyone planning to hit boat shows this year?
I think Atlanta is usually early Jan, I did not hear it was cancelled.
Denver and Cincy are usually mid-Jan.
Houston is end-Jan. Not sure about Dallas.
Utah was in early-Feb.
Read online that Chicago and Detroit were cancelled.2018 Supra SL400

Do dealers have any boats to display?
My dealer typically has one of each Supra and moomba model to participate in 2 boat shows within Detroit metro area.
They currently have ZERO dealer boats, all were pre sold customer orders. Kinda pointless to have a show when you are sold out the past 2 years and likely close to preselling 2023 order slots.

My dealer had one SA on the floor that was in process of being sold. None were anticipated either. They sold all 22 Moomba build slots, and about half of Supra slots in October.

The Mid-Atlantic Boat Show in Charlotte, NC is on for the first weekend in Feb. A few dealers bowed out due to low inventory though. We've had some brand shakeups this past year, so I do not what for sure what manufactures will be rep'd. It does look like we could see Tige/ATX, Moomba/Supra, Nautique and Mastercraft. I dont see the Malibu/Axis dealer on the floor plain and I dont know if Centurion has found a new home.
Im danged excited. First show since Feb of 2020, but im not holding my breath.

Our local dealer displayed a few “sold” boats last year - Moomba and Supra. Zach (salesman) usually has a SE demo boat that is all decked out.
Plus they also sell toons and jets.
At this point I look at the wake boats in the boat show as adverting and trying to get new leads. New buyers or someone looking to switch brands.
Interesting that our local dealer has around 10 used Supras (1-4 yo) that peeps are trading for newer models. A few other brand too: MCs, Naut, and BUs. They will all be gone this spring.

My theory is dealers currently don’t need boat shows to move inventory, so why would dealers spend that large amount of money for floor space at a boat show. My understanding is floor space is very expensive.
Boat shows will return when this crazy market slows down.
