    Local repair next time.

Could be the going rate in this climate, but expected maybe 150-200 tops with $50 off plus shipping.

hate to say it but you grabbed your ankles on that repair.

150$? I’m certain my dealer will charge more than that. Hard for me to take to someone else, I don’t have a tow vehicle and dealer usually just picks up my boat for me. They charge by the hour wondering how long prop repair should take.

Barring a stuck prop, it takes inside of 5 minutes to remove a prop. Get a quote on someone to come to the boat and remove the prop and reinstall it once its back from the repair shop. Or, if you are handy with basic hand tools, purchase a prop tool and remove it yourself and send off for repair.

Speak with Jim Thelen at ACME. He will ask you a few simple questions to give him an idea of how you use your boat and where you use it. A great guy with a ton of knowledge regarding choosing the right prop. He can direct ship you the prop and a puller. Takes about 10 minutes to swap with simple hand tools. [email protected]
