Towing a Supra SA400

Go get the boat weighed. My 2016 craz and trailer was just under 7k lbs on a CAT scale. I dont think the weights in the advertising material account for many options on the boat.

Secondly, look at the loading sticker by the drivers side door for your car, that will tell you the true amount you can haul. You are more than likely overloaded with just the boat. Add people or gear, you are almost certainly overloaded.

The trailer and boat weight of a 2019 SA seems to be 7050 lbs.
A Range Rover sport towing max is 7600lbs.

Is that to close to the max?
Have any of you towed your boat with a ranger rover sport, if so how was it?

I caution against launching with a Range Rover. Our 15 HSE sucked water into the compressor when launching our first boat, due to a leaking strut. This set off a whole cascade of problems that took several years and a lot of money to work.

I'd take a look at the hitch on that vehicle as well. The max towing capacity of the vehicle isn't always going to match the tongue weight capacity of the hitch. There's usually some kind of sticker on the hitch showing the capacity of that.

Tongue weight on 20 and older RRS is 770lbs. If you use the RR factory ball, the ball weight is limited to 330lbs.

Great information, thank you all.
One consideration I did not originally factor was the wear on brakes and RRs brake replacements are rip off expensive. So I’m looking for a truck but will wait a bit to see if the insanity in the second market eases.
