Thread: Prop shaft

    Default Prop shaft

    Hey guys and gals,

I picked up a 2021 mojo at the end of the season and just did my winterization using the bucket of antifreeze plumbed into the sea strainer method, ran for a few minutes until the antifreeze came out the exhaust.

Question is…I noticed a lot of antifreeze was coming out of where the prop shaft goes through the hull and into the transmission. Where the seal is I’m guessing..? For a 2021 with 50 hours does that seem normal? I did end up getting antifreeze come out of the exhaust eventually but I would say 50% came out the prop shaft area and the other 50% out the exhaust.

    Any thoughts?

Are you sure it wasn’t coming out the intake grate?

I had the intake valve closed, nothing was leaking out until I fired it up..

Ok good, then all you are seeing is the water cooled prop shaft. Normal.
