    I have been to Norris and Cumberland myself and this statement is more true than anything. However, for the first time we went to the south side of Norris on the Clinch River, there are areas that you can be completely alone, but you do have to watch for debris in the early morning.

    Thanks for the Cumberland comparison.

    If there are no homes on the water, do you have to launch at the ramp everyday?

    Sounds like the clinch side of Norris is hard to beat. We had the lake to ourselves most of the time.

    Just wish it was a little closer or it would be an annual destination.

    You can rent a few houses that have private docks. I believe they were "grandfathered" in before the 1994 stop of docks. This explains why Cumberlnd is the houseboat capital. Its the best way to be on the water full time.

    I recall they had different trim names, also two sizes.

    They were built near me and my neighbors worked at the plant that built them. They were way ahead of their time.
