Default HELP, Mojo 2016 surf wave

My dad got a used 2016 mojo earlier this summer. We’re trying to figure out how to get the surf wave better but were kinda stuck. We have the stock 2500lb ballast. We are currently going 12.5 mph and have the wake plate down. All of the ballast are full. We played around with it a tiny bit but the wave is still crusty and short. What can we do to increase the height of the wave and make it curl.

    1) Upgrade to the Wakemaker ExactFit bags....1270 lbs each. (this will upgrade your existing 650s in the rear)
    2) Get another 500-800 lbs of LEad as well.

Once you get ~4000lbs of ballast...the wave works really well. fill all bags to 100% and swap the lead to surf side for regular.

Drain a bit of weight out of the rear non-surf side for goofy.

Surf between 10.9 to 11.4 based on preference.

    Wakeplate at 15-30 typically

I’ve got a 16 mojo and here’s what I do. 1100s in the rear from wakemakers. I bought 450s to put under mid seats, and I put a T in the fill line and I also T into the rear vent line. Increase fill time to about 13:30 for rear. Do you have the bow bag that fills from the over flow from the center tank? It might have been optional for that year. If you don’t, that’s a necessity. I also have another 600 lbs of lead wake bags spread out pretty even. I run my tabs at around 80-90 which is more than others, that’s my preference, I run almost no center wakeplate. Great wave with only two in the boat, it’s amazing with 10. Use your phone to calibrate and go around 11mph.

What 450lb midship bags did you use? Trying to find something that fits under those seats. Online dimensions are all over the place.

    2018 Mojo.

    Enzos full
    Mid tank full
    Bow bag full
480 pounds on surf side regular is all we surf
    200 under bow bag
    Surf plate 55
    Center plate 0-10

Massive, long wave with tons of push.

Y’all gotta add weight to the mojo hull. At least 4000, but 5000 really shines. Then reprop to a surf prop and enjoy the wave.

I hope you are meaning the center wake plate all the way up when you say 100%. You want it all the way up or at max 10% deployed (down). Also follow the ballast info mentioned above. 10.9 to 11.1 on the soles for us.

The one I got looks like it’s discontinued. It worked great though because it went exactly in between the rear bag and heater, fit perfect.

12.5 is waaay too fast. Start slow and work up. Start at 10.2. You will be surprised.
