The only advice is get the boat loaded as close to the limit as possible and keep that pitch ~9.5%. It will surf just fine, as long as you pay attention to roll and pitch and don't expect it to be anything like your buddies se 550 wave. Now. If you're wakeboarding, we loved the wake on ours.

Not much to say so far, picked it up Friday, spent whole weekend on it, and I cant get a surf wave thats rideable. Lots of tinkering to do. Bought it so I could surf since my older malibu was unsurfable. Fit and finish seems to be great , pretty well taken care of boat. I have ordered some wakemakers 910 lb bags to try and help wuth the surfing situation. Other than that, and the fact my buddies se550 gouged the crap out of my hull while we were tied off, I like the boat so far.

Been here, it’s frustrating. What worked for me was increasing pitch to about 10.5-11 and adjusting the surf plate up to 40-45 with extra weight in the floor as far back as you can get it.

Yeah the 550 has spoiled me for sure, the wakeboard wake is excellent lots of lip. I like the boat, uses a good bit more fuel than my 320hp sunsetter did. Cruise is nice to have and works better than any perfect pass setup I have used in the past. Just so many fine setting with surf tabs, figuring out ballast placement, passenger placement, pitch and roll its a lot to take in. Will get it figured out eventually when this rain goes away.

If you need someone to fix your "gouges" in the off season, Shanne Coffman from the TheBoatWorks does good work. Shop is located off Clinton Hwy. I know he does warranty work for the local dealers of Supra, Moomba, Malibu, and Axis. Also did some transom work on my previous Supra.

We also use the Concord ramps or the ramps down by the dam if we go on Tellico.
