    Default Interior suggestions

Okay I need some insight and opinions. Pictures posted don’t look as bad as it does in real life!

My interior is deteriorating in a few places. The engine bay cover, the rear bench seat, and the rear corner bench pads are really the only areas that need attention. Finally had some significant vinyl separation yesterday on the engine bay cover and separation on the rear bench is imminent. All sidewalls, Capt seat and play pen are probably a little dirty and faded, but otherwise in great shape… no complaints about those areas.

I really do not want to replace the parts of the interior that do not need replaced, but I also know matching with the good areas of the current 13 year old interior is probably not feasible. I feel like no matter what it will be obvious that some parts of the interior don’t really match and that honestly it will look pretty bad. Every used boat I have seen that has had partial interior replacement looks pretty crappy.

    What to do?

Any quick fixes with the major tear to get us through the summer… duct tape?

If I want my interior to match is my only real option to have all of it replaced including the nearly perfect areas?

$7500 a good estimate to have it all completely redone? Am I over estimating?

Any suggestions or opinions are greatly appreciated!

2008. We plan to keep it for the foreseeable future, but I’m just having trouble accepting my options… hoping someone can offer up some new ideas of what to do!

If the entire interior was shot I would just replace it all, but other than a few significantly sore spots the bulk of the interior is in great shape!

I think you'll have to replace it all if you want it to match. Too much sub fading to get new vinyl to remotely match the old.

You remove the skins and send them in and they copy them and send them back.

I recently replaced the vinyl on all 3 rear hatches plus vinyl and foam on the rear bench in my 05 LSV. My local marine upholstery shop was able to match the colors and design with no issues and used a heavier grade vinyl than factory. I took my panels to them over the winter when they weren't busy so price was very reasonable.

That sounds great. Do you have a picture handy? I would love to see it!

Do you mind me asking what the cost was?

Seems like it was around $500 for all 4 pieces. The white looks off in this pic because I hadn't cleaned the existing interior yet but it all matches in the sunlight.

Replace whole sections at a time and you won't notice the color differences, like all seats or the whole sun deck is generally what I do.

What product did you use to deep clean the old seat covers?

A good upholstery shop can do almost an exact match with better vinyl. I would take pieces into the shop in the winter and they would be done by spring to reinstall. Over the years about every major piece was redone.
