    Default Skieeing LSV

    Hi,

I am trying to figure out the best setup for skieing behind and 07 LSV

What is the beste postition of the wakeplate?
What is the minimum speed to flatten the wake?
    Front ballast should be empty?
People for ballast in the front?
Best line lenght for recreational skieers?

    Thanks

    From my experience:

Wakeplate at 80%-90% down (just before it creates a spray of it's own)
    Speed: 30mph+ (32 is better)
    NO ballast
    1 person in front
60 ft is nice (and easy since it is the first take off)

    Hope this helps,

    Joe

Joe sounds right on the money. Not familiar with wake plate. But I have skied with fat sacks in the boat and depending on comeptency additionaly weight can cause serious problems.

Speed of 30 is good for rec skiers. Almost a requirement for anyone over 130 lbs. I skied at 30 for a very long time, but have recently moved up to 34 and am loving it. You need the right ski and confidence to do this (imho).

15 off is for sure the best recreational length. I take that first section off and use it for a boat rope. My kids have never skied long line.

    Enjoy
    Dave
