So additional drill holes through the plastic dividers and aluminum bracket?

Not all the way through. Just a small hole in one side of the aluminum channel facing the bag. Then get some 1/2" long "8 stainless sharp point screws and they will self tap into the plastic panel. I put 2 per panel. I also had to do the rear panel covered with carpet. It popped out of the bottom on me too when I put in the WM bags. Those panels just bend too easily. The screws keep the bottoms from pulling up out of that short channel. There was already 1 screw in the front and back panel on mine from the factory.

These are the screws I was referring too. They don't need to go all the way through both sides of the aluminum channel. If you use 1/2" long the point on the screw will just make contact with the other side and go all the way through the plastic divider panel.

I bought a set of these. Haven't installed them yet. Looks like they should be installed on the engine side for sure. Will take a little cutting for me unfortunately. I installed noise insulation on that side.

Everyone doing 2 on the middle panel and one on the stern panel?

I essentially did the same thing buying the channel at Home Depot. Yes install on the engine side and make sure your bolt heads are smooth on the bag side so no snags. This is my setup. I did take them back off and paint them black.
