    Default Flat spot when accelerating

I have a 2001Outback LS. I've noticed that when I accelerate the boat gets to 2900rpm, about 10.5mph and seems to be stuck there for a few seconds before taking off. The boat has the 5.7 indmar carburetored motor. The boat is new to me last year. TIA!!!

Could be a lot of things but I guess I,d be suspect of the carburetor.

Thanks I replaced the accelerator pump and carb is clean. I've read about adjusting the float to compensate for bow rise, but I'm not sure that's a real fix

That's probably when the engine is working it's hardest l. I'd replace the fuel filter and distributor cap and rotor as a starting point. All cheap parts and all likely culprits.
