Makai Spare Prop
Has anyone purchased a spare or new prop for their Makai? If so what did you buy? I am looking at purchasing a spare but wanted to get a prop with a different pitch to just try something new. I don't have any complaints with my OJ 932 so should I just buy another?

With the size and weight of the Makai, and your 450 motor and 1.76 drive I would do with the surf prop that comes on the Supra (if you can fit a 16" prop)

I know a few people have run 16" props on them with a "very little amount of gel burn" but I am not wanting any gel burn lol. Nettles recommended the Acme 2247 which is a 15x14.25 I have never run a different prop so I wont claim to know anything just thought it was interesting the recommended a smaller diameter prop.

Your 932 is 15.5 X 16.5. Which is what Moomba refers to as a general use prop. My 2021 Makai runs a 15.5 X 15. They consider it a wake / altitude prop for more power/torque. I have the raptor 400 and it pulls very well with it. I bet your 450 would really pull strong with it.

OJ 1951 (15x14) which will pull good heavy for surfing - but losing 1/2" of prop
OJ 930 (15.5x15) as HFarr suggested - look to be the Moomba factory option.
ACME 2847 (15.5x15) - virtually no cup so it will pull surf well
ACME 3829 (15.5x14.5)
I can keep going but not sure you want to make that thing a tug boat. These number should get you good pulling power without too much top end loss.

Personally, these are tow boats and anything that gets fully loaded to surf or wake speed is better for me, as long as revs are reasonable.
I love the 16x13.9 prop, I’d there such a thing as a plate to prevent gel burn?
Anything over 25mph on plane unloaded is a waste to me.

Yes there is Dakota4ce put one on his battle ship Max. It is a small piece of gauge material that looks like a data tag and he screwed it into the fiberglass right there to protect it. Not sure I want to screw in the fiber glass where I don’t need to lol

Makai Spare Prop
All of these seem like good options!
TBH I have had a crew of 12 adults in the boat, full ballast and my 1k of lead and the 450 didn’t miss a beat it just eats!!
How would losing a 1/2” affect the performance? I don’t really want to go smaller in diameter if I don’t have to or it doesn’t benefit me.
Anyone have thoughts on ACME vs OJ? Is one better than the other? For what reasons?
