    Default Trailer emergency brake help.

I was putting my boat away the other day and pulled a pretty bonehead move. Normally I double check everything when I hook up or unhook from the trailer. The other day I got disctracted, jumped in the truck and pulled away only to feel a slight thump after I moved about a foot or two. I knew almost immediately what it was and confirmed by looking and finding the emergency brake cable still attached to the truck.

Who else has done this and have any of you fixed it yourself? I plan on doing it myself as soon as I get a new cable. Anybody who has done it have any hints or tips to make it go a little easier? I spoke briefly to my dealer and he told me exactly what I thought he would. I was hoping it wouldn't be the case but it looks like I have to completely pull the tongue apart and disconnect the brakes which means I'll have to bleed them afterwards.

No, but I was looking at the manuals the other day. The one for the brake actuator has detailed drawings and instructions.
