2017 Supra SA Fluids

Prepping to do an oil change and check all other fluids and top off accordingly (except coolant ).

I have the raptor 400 and it looks like indmar 5w30 is best. How much does the engine take? Anyone else recommend better oil?

I’m certain I have a cartridge filter which would be 501022S part from indmar. Right?

Lastly, what about transmission and such. That’s where I’m lost. I want to make 100% sure I top off with correct fluids. Thanks!

Castrol 03084C Edge 5W-30 Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil, 5 Quart https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ICSWGJ0...ing=UTF8&psc=1

Because it’s a full synthetic and cheaper than indmar (rebranded) semi synthetic.

I also prefer the WIX xp filter


For the V drive, most run Mobil Delvac 1 sae 50 synthetic. Although you don’t need a gallon, Indmar v drive is synthetic and not too expensive

Transmission run any dexron 3 synthetic. Indmar atf is synthetic and not terribly overpriced for the amount you need.

When using a fluid extractor, do you prefer to extract through dipstick or oil drain hose through transom?

Drain hose because it’s easy, you get all the oil and that is what the hose is for. Plus, it’s way faster than dipstick hose and so many get dipstick extractor stuck in the dipstick tube.

Couple options on where to route extractor/drain hose.

1) push ballast bag aside and put towel down in the rear starboard storage bay.

2) if you have the surf locker engine cover off, you can route drain hose out the surf locker and put the extractor on the ground.

Make sure the engine oil is warmed up.

You can use a 1/4 inch air hose fitting to connect your extractor to the factory drain hose.
