Take some pictures! On the boat... The Moomba, not the drill ship.

Finally gots the boats in the water last weekend. This is the first chance I had to really hear the Mojo with the sub & amp upgrade I did this spring. Very happy with the 13” JL Audio sub. It doesn’t matter where you sit it still massages your back. The grainy video is taken by my wife of my phone bouncing dash top inductive charger. Ironically, the charger didn’t work last summer so I had it repaired under warranty this past fall. Now it works but there is no way I can charge a phone on it with the stereo on!

Why is it so hard to post pics/vids on this forum?! Even with Tapatalk too. I can’t get to any new pics on my phone. I can only get to the pics that I have previously posted. Sorry folks.

Getting some real warm weather here in WI- upper 80s and low 90 for the past weeks and half.

Went out on Lake Winnebago last weekend and Okauchee yesterday.

We have just about 10 hours on the boat.

Couple comments on our new Max- So far love the boat and the engine is a beast. Tons of room.

We surfed a bit yesterday for the first time- was just a quick test as we didn’t have a whole lot of time to mess around. Reading all the posts in here and on FB I was concerned the wave wouldn’t be big enough...that was hardly the case. With my 18 yr old daughter driving (first time ever) and my two 6 yr olds we set off..Filled everything to 100% and set the cruise on 10.8...no tuning, no nothing. Left the wake plate down. The wave was plenty big and I was easily able to surf without the rope. With some more tuning the wave will get much better.

Note: The wave was far bigger/better than our old 04 Mobius LSV we were surfing ropeless 10+ years ago..

    Few minor gripes-

I don’t like the small display screen and everything (except speed) is too small. Also hate having to choose only three items to display (depth, rpm, engine temp, gas, oil pressure, etc). I like to see all of them. I should have gone with the larger touch screen.

The non-hinged seats are irritating ...didn’t think they would bother me as much as they do. I guess I got too used to hinged seats in our last boat..

The throttle lever needs more tension. If I take my hand off the throttle for a second (to say adjust the radio volume) the slightest wave will cause the throttle to move down and accelerate the boat.

The tan seats get really hot. Way hotter than I expected and much hotter than the light grey seats we had in the past. The Gator Step also gets really hot (our last couple boats had carpet and that was much cooler).

Love the black and peanut butter. If you like the max wave out of the box, just wait until you dial it in.

Last Thursday, there was a max and Makai taking turns on the surf lane on the lake, both the max and Makai looked dialed in, both with impressive waves.

Looking forward to getting the wave dialed in a bit more and trying out our other surf boards. I haven’t surfed in a few years and so I was used to the wave we were making with our 04 Moomba and the Max is already twice that. I think its probably good we learned to surf that smaller wave back in the day as it taught us to be better surfers as there was no room for mistakes.

That being said, we are in no way pro surfers and so lead with never be needed in our boat ..We are more just casual/average skilled surfers..

    I love that boat!!!

Man, the current iteration of the Max has been around a few years now, but every time I see one, I still can't get over how deep that thing is!
