Looking to Prop up. Need advice
Did a lot of searching on and off the forums and read old post from several of you about different setups and props.
Being my first wake boat and knowing the previous owners did surf, I plan on waiting until after my first trip out to replace my prop. However, we have our annual Norris trip planned, and I will be looking for a spare to travel with (or an upgrade and use current as spare). I still need a little speed 32-34 mph for skiing but typical cruise speed around the lake has always been under 30mph.
Full details for most of my lake trips:
2015 Mojo Surf - 4100# (manual Flow)
1100's
700 floor
500 IBS
Gear and fuel 400-500#
Crew 1400# (4-11 people + 1000# lead to offset for small crew)
Prop is factory for that year, and I believe the gear ratio is 1.5:1. I have zero elevation concerns and the 400 motor.
From my reading:
ACME 1235 is direct replacement and offers decent gain
ACME 2079 is more torque but better option
ACME 2773 larger stump puller and still offers some speed
ACME 2775 biggest and baddest but at a cost speed, fuel, noise, etc.
OJ 945 similar to 2773 but cup is different
OJ 950 similar to 2775 but less performance over OJ 945
I'm open to opinions. I also see OJ has new "Wake" props available. Would any of these work out also?2015 Moomba Mojo Surf Edition

The Acme #2937--15x11 4-Blade with .075 Cup is a stump puller but you'll lose some top end. I was running this in my Craz with 5,600lbs ballast.
I originally had OJ945 (on left)....then added Enzos, lead and occasionally a sumo sac.

1235 has always been my go to(used on 3 boats) but with prop tech, sure there are some other options that will fit the bill better.
I'd call nettleprops and ask their advice. they have been a go-to for some time and know props.'06 Supra Launch 20SSV-gone but never forgotten

RC,
Not sure I'm looking to run 15x11. Seems like high RPM to do anything other than surf.
Sandm,
My gut reaction is to just go with 1235 and enjoy. Right now, I would not know the difference and ignorance is bliss.2015 Moomba Mojo Surf Edition

Yeah, the 15 x11 is definitely a surf prop.
After after 16 seasons of football, 5 seasons of rugby and 3 knee surgeries, I'm not getting much wakeboarding in

Yeah, I understand completely.
9yrs of hockey, 20 yrs of construction/manufacturing work, my feet do not go over my head on purpose. The wife will ski though and she needs the 30+mph to be happy.
The kids are getting into wake sports and still tube, so 18-20 mph is a good sweet spot. I'm thinking something in the 15x13 range but reviews of this setup are poor. But the numbers work out about perfect from a speed/rpm perspective.
Hints why all the questions.2015 Moomba Mojo Surf Edition

too bad you didn't post this up a week ago. we just sold our extra 1235 with bag and acme prop changing kit on fleabay
our last tige 22ve had a 1235 on it and had no issues pulling a slalom set at 34 or 35. that was with pcm 343. our old supra would pull my buddy at 36 with a 1235. that boat had the ext340 cat motor. that was pushing top end tho. iirc 39 was max. tige would touch 40 if pushed but at redline.
see the gas gauge drop quickly tho.....'06 Supra Launch 20SSV-gone but never forgotten

I went with the acme 2419 on my Max with the 400 (1.5:1 ratio) and love it. Plenty of lowend and cruising at 28mph isn’t a problem.

My fault for not being a savvy shopper. That sucks though the puller is ~$100 alone. Oh well, my loss.
I actually bought it with the 1235 installed, it was the ordered prop or previous owner installed?
I haven't been out yet, so I'm not sure I need an "upgrade" but I do know I want a spare.
I assume hitting 40mph would be the limit with my setup empty and limited people. I'm good with that.
I'm worried about when everyone wants to go out and we load up for surfing. My old Crownline 21SS hated having 10 people when we tried to do anything other than plain. Empty and glass I could plain it out close to 50mph.
Again, don't want to lose too much off the top and be skiing at redline, but I need to move 9,000-10,000# when fully loaded for surfing and I don't want to kill this motor.2015 Moomba Mojo Surf Edition
