Well done! I like the look. Would have to pilot one with tinted glass before I would I do my own though. Great looking boat!

I have 20% now but definitely going 5% next time. I almost never boat at night, so no heartburn from going super dark.

    Well done sir!

Does the Mrs. complain about the tint being too dark? I think I'm going to get mine done but she is my only tow pilot and if I piss her off, well you know how that goes...

The Mrs never complained. I have ceramic tint, so I touted the lower dash and surrounding temps from the beginning. Any Co-pilot that spends time sitting in the OB spot can attest as to how you can bake near the glass.

It's obviously hard to keep an open air cabin cool but we have two little ones so every lil bit helps.

As for driving, as long as she doesn't have super dark sunglasses on, she's fine. She's on the bolster too.

I tend to drive above my windshield anyways, typically once I get a spray of water on the glass, I can’t see through it anyways.

I gotta say we REALLY liked the look of tint on a boat until our last one came tinted from prior owner. it looked great but the GF HATED that it made it tougher to drive during the day and at 5ft3 she can't see over the frame without standing up so visibility through the glass was required. you can't see $hit out of a tinted front at night. we took it off after first season and can also say that was an all day mess for 2 of us.

if you only use it during the day go sit in a tinted boat and see if you like it but if you run at night at all, I'd recommend passing altogether.

Looks great Larry! 5% is the only way to go. People complain about driving at night, that's especially when I look over my window, it's not a cabin cruiser. Someone commented ceramic, it's not needed and have had a few installers say it does 0 on the boat as it's open air and not closed cab.

I believe LLumar 5% non ceramic was used. My understanding is llumar is easier to stretch with heat.

How will it do with rapid hot/cold changes. Our regular lake can get to high 30’s to high 90’s pretty quickly. I’m sure the stretch affects contraction, and ripples or edge pulling could happen with frequent hot/cold stretch/contract cycles.
