Any tips on where to order the impeller pulling tool?
Just changed mine for the 1st time Sunday, after a couple of hours, sweating like a madman, speaking in tongues & cutting the hell out of my hand with pliers, finally got my old one out by destroying it with a flathead screwdriver.2017 Moomba Craz

On our Makai, its super easy to get to with the one divider pulled out. I use paint can openers to pop it out, probably be even easier with the puller. Use a little dish soap when re-installing the new one so you can spin it the right direction sliding it in.

Without a puller it can be hit or miss. I've had some that will come out after a little bump on the motor. Others times that f%#ing thing just did not want to move no matter what I tried.

You want to be choosy about what you use to lubracate the new impeller as some lubricants can damage the impeller or other components of your cooling system. Glycerin is a good choice and is inexpensive. It is found in the first aid section of your local pharmacy.

I would actually be cautious more with glycerin (mineral oil) as its not compatible with some elastomers as one might would think. We've ran tests at work on all of our compounds (note compounds might be different than an impeller, but definitely similar to engine seals) and it has shown some to loose 30-50% of their strengths in a 72hr heated soak test. Should also note I haven't ever ran a 72hr heated dawn dish soap test but I have used that method for over 20 years without issue so take that for what it is I guess or better yet talk to your local shop and see what they recommend you use to ensure you are ok.

Not the same kit I've used before (different pump than ours) but this one comes with lube which is a Glycerine based lube, so looks like you are safe based on that, I stand corrected

I just used water and spit when I changed my last impeller. Started with spit, ran out and then used water. LOL! It worked.

Did mine yesterday. With the puller was a breeze.
I though the difference in the spline design was interesting (running two different ways on the stock impeller vs all the same way). Any thoughts on this or doesn't matter?
Or was it the same originally and got angled during the 70 hours of use?
