I completely agree. I see people taking Yeti to the park. Why? It is so bulky and doesn't do much more than an insulated cooler bag (which is what we use on the boat) during that brief a visit. Running it on the boat takes up valuable space. I just slip my cooler bag underneath the front filler cushion and it is good to go!

So the wife sent back the titan cooler we were using and she ordered a yeti backpack cooler. Turns out if you are a nurse or other first responder/military/police they cut you a 20% discount. So we got a hookup on the cooler and it showed up today. Will be nice for the beach too.

I didn’t have a Yeti, but a different backpack cooler that we used when we camped at our favorite lake in our last living location.

The walk from our campsite to where the boats were tied was about 150-300 yds depending on lake level. Backpack cooler made it so much easier to shuffle down(and back up) the trail with arms full of towels, snacks, etc.

I had an ice mule which was like a dry bag you roll the top and then buckle it. I liked it, but it flew out the jeep with the doors off and a glass bottle broke and punched a hole in the bottom of it. Worked pretty good and was easy to carry but the opening and closing of it would get old. The yeti is magnetic so Im pretty excited to try it out tomorrow.

I am still using my Moomba AO cooler that came with my 15 Mojo. We only use ice packs these days so not worried about it leaking. For most of our days on the water, it is more than enough for our drinks. We also take another small shoulder cooler for snacks and food for the kids (me).

This is a quick pic of my 36 can AO and where we keep it on the Makai. It's a good fit. Could actually put 2 in there if we needed too.

But hey, if you and a couple of friends are sucking down 60 in a day, they probably won't have time to warm up anyway!
