2018 was the first year for the in-floor cooler and let me tell you it is F'ing awesome. Now if they could insulate the floor portion that would be even better. I dont use a soft-sided cooler in my in-floor cooler I cut a rubber disk that sits over the drain at the bottom, fill the cooler with beer and kids drinks and pack it full with shaved ice and even in TX on a 100 degree days it stays cold all day.

    2018 on the SL yes!!!

You could probably pull the fiberglass cooler insert and improve the insulation around it.

So you bypass using your cooler all together , great idea.

Holds way more beer, clear Gatorade and water if you bypass the cooler all together. I can fit 2+ cases (we don't do bottles on the lake), all the mini water bottles and Gatorades needed for my crew of 6-8. The key is ice that is shaved and packs down tight so there is as little air around the cans as possible. Down here in Texas we have Twice the Ice machines and you get a 20lb bag of shaved ice for $2.00 and it works great.

Yep lots of the nautique folks do the same.
Pull the little abs cooler holder piece and insulate the back of it with spray foam and you'lll keep ice even longer

Will look into insulation of the insert!

It would gain you the capacity.

With a smaller crew, I can see using the soft sided Supra AO cooler they give you and if you really don’t want to bend over, you can pull the cooler out by the strap, grab your drink and drop it back in.

I would have to get on my knees to get a drink out of the floor cooler, but using the soft side in that way is a great idea. I just need to find somewhere to put the batteries. With Sonic’s engineering, the trash can is handled.

We had a 2006 21v with the formed cooler under the seat. Most people cut it out for ballast room, but i thought it was awesome.

After the zipper died on our Arctic we picked up a hybrid soft side hard top at walmart. It has been any soft side zippered one I've used to date and a lot better priced. So much easier for our kids to get in and out of it as well. We do leave it in the floor as we got tired of pulling it in and out or asking someone to move to get it out. I do wish it came in a slightly bigger 45ish size vs the 36 but works very well.
