Wiring to ACC switch
Has anybody wired up something to the extra ACC switch in the dash? I have one extra on my 2020 Makai and trying to wire up an rgb controller to it. Looked under the dash and found a wire labeled acc1 with an empty butt connector so I wired the hot to that and the ground to the ground bar under the helm.
Controller works so I am getting power with this setup but the switch wont turn it off. Basically it is hot 100% of the time unless I kill the main battery switch. Any thoughts?2015 Mojo with autoflow

My bet is the extra wire was the input from the switch (hot all the time) and not the output from the switch (switched)
Have you traced the wire?2020 Supra SA

This makes sense. The extra wire comes off the fuse panel. The wires off of the switch run straight into a bundle so much harder to trace but I was thinking the switch output leg ran to the fuse and then out to this empty wire for me to use. Hindsight though it makes more sense that the fuse would be before the switch. Everything is bundled up nice and tight off of the switches (they aren't the old spade type the wires just come straight out of the switch and disappear into the bundle) so I was trying to avoid breaking into that but it sounds like I should have two empty wires off of the switch itself that I need to find. I do have a multimeter just need to find the ends first.

I used it for my stereo and amps.

I’m fairly sure this is the wiring diagram for the switch itself if it’s just a regular “on-off”. Look for the wire color at the switch coming off the #3 terminal then trace it back in the harness where you have enough room to splice, or remove/replace the wire at the terminal with a new one going to you accessory. Be sure to test it with a multimeter first...

If I remember correctly I did something similar...and then dug around and found another butted connector that worked for me and was labelled as well.
Look closer to the steering wheel for another ACC butt connector.2022 SA450

Found it! It was buried in there but found it and got it working. Thanks!
