Then it's still wet, with the same issue. If you're going to the trouble to clean them, you may as well pull them so it can dry.

Run a ducted fan into the front hatch, open up the engine hatch. Open up all the seats, T-plug access, and trany cover. Let run for several days for your humidity. In my humidity, it only takes an afternoon.

    both have pros and cons.
tanks can crack and iirc MC had a batch that did several years ago. same thing I have read about bag fittings not glued in properly or coming off. both are prone to issues. MB have used hard tanks since 2008 with no widespread cracking issues.

having had both and back to OP's original problem, bags have issues with gunk under them. tanks that I have had experience with do not.

best of both worlds- tanks subfloor and P&P on top.

You won't need ropes to pull them, but definitely some kind of snake to reinstall.

That still won't dry under the bags where they sit on the floor.

MB uses cavities that are literally molded into the hull, then sealed. And they have had leaks, which have been a big problem when they happen. Rare, albeit.

So what you are saying...... the subfloor bags are nothing to worry about.

I've had good luck using Dawn about 2-3x each summer. I keep a small bottle onboard b/c the kids like to slide on the inflatable mat.

Plus you will need Dawn for that new ChilTec vinyl.

I put some in the center access when heading back to the dock. Once on the trailer, I manually drain any access water in the ballast bags, pull t-drain, then head home.

Some company makes an orange smelling bilge cleaner. It works well, used it on my last Supra.
