The wait begins - 2021 Makai
Pulled the trigger on a 2021 Makai, Spray in NOV. Sounds like we’ll have it in Jan/Feb.

Thanks!! Still trying to decide if this is the color scheme I want to stick with. I love brown interior, but the wife isn’t sold.
If we switched to brown, I love the all white exterior. Not sure if that’s too basic though. So difficult to level set on color scheme. I initially though some sort of flake blue but can find a scheme I love.
Any makai owners, would love to see yours.

That’s a great looking color scheme you selected imo!

Thanks! I think my main concern is the black hull. Asked the dealer and he said to ceramic coat it... but the few places I checked charge 50-60$/ft. I’m not really looking to spend $1200-1500 out the gate on that.
Are black hulls really and issue? It would be easy to wipe it down after putting it up on the lift... but I probably wouldn’t.
Thinking of that, how the hell do you wax a boat if the aluminum bunks are blocking a small part of the hull?

I am looking at a black hull for the Mondo I am ordering as well so hearing people's thoughts on this is topic. My lake has soft water and 60 feet of visibility so I think it won't be too big of a deal. Probably depends upon how hard your local water is. When I lived in Phoenix it was a huge pain to keep the hard water spots off of the boat.

It's not a Makai, but maybe this will tilt your windmill.
