You are not a boomer, you are an Xer.

I always felt Xers were not the ones calling names. We are the hard working, relaxed generation in between millennials and boomers.

I leave the name calling to the other gens.

So in the past and I guess still in some form currently, older folks describe Millennials as Snowflakes. They live in their parents basement eating avocado toast, they don't have a job, they are lazy, ungrateful and overly sensitive to opposing view points. It was a derogatory label for all the Millenials that still somehow made it through the 2008 Great Recession, had great jobs, were homeowners, paid taxes and generally contributed to society.

Yes, there are folks that aptly fit the description, but it also fomented anger and exasperation from us Millenials that don't fit the stereotype. "OK, Boomer" was born as a result of that derision.

OK boomer is meant to be cutting and dismissive. It suggests that the conversation around the anxieties and concerns of younger generations has become so exhausting and unproductive that the younger generations are collectively over it. OK boomer implies that the older generation misunderstands millennial and Gen Z culture and politics so fundamentally that years of condescension and misrepresentation have led to this pointedly terse rebuttal and rejection.

I'm sure your kids are just calling you a 'boom' in jest....kinda like an "OK, old man (eye roll)"

Funny, didn't expect the term "Snowflake" to hijack a thread, particularly when disparaging rednecks. But, to hijack some more:

    Snowflake
A very sensitive person. Someone who is easily hurt or offended by the statements or actions of others.

This has nothing to do with politics. Snowflakes can be liberal or conservative. Whether it is a compliment or an insult is a matter of opinion and depends on the context.

Don't criticize Jane for what she did. She's a snowflake and you'll only upset her.

    or,

A hypersensitive, irrational person who can't stand to have their world views challenged, or be offended in any perceived or even slightest of ways; they will have any number of emotional reactions: impuning character and/or motives, blocking on social media, shouting, interrupting, threatening, assaulting, etc. They often live in an echo chamber of their own beliefs and surround themselves exclusively with people and opinions that agree with their own. This term is most often use to describe people left-leaning people, but can be applied both left and right wing people.

I told that snowflake that I respectfully disagree and had some questions, and she started screaming that I was a nazi.

John Doe saw that I agreed with Jane Doe on an issue, and he blocked me; I never knew he was so petty snowflake.

Both from Urban Dictionary - https://www.urbandictionary.com/defi...term=Snowflake

    Wikipedia

Snowflake is a 2010s derogatory slang term for a person, implying that they have an inflated sense of uniqueness, an unwarranted sense of entitlement, or are overly-emotional, easily offended, and unable to deal with opposing opinions. Common usages include the terms special snowflake, Generation Snowflake, and snowflake as a politicized insult.

There are more uses and background here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snowfl...ing%20opinions.

I used the term because it is something my in-laws use without understanding it's meaning, but they are sensitive to the derogatory sentiment, usually resulting in hyper-meltown evolving into a full steam explosion of aggression and name calling. A simple term that they use so freely towards others sets them off like 100 year old nitroglycerine or dried picric acid.

But to the topic though. That boat dodged a coat hanger. Whoever invested in that company needs a lesson in how much more obnoxious and emboldened they can make "tooners" with that waste of aluminum.

You can call rednecks Snowflakes all you want, I don't care...plenty of rednecks here in Texas. You can call'em whatever you want.

I just thought it was funny because I hadn't heard it used that way, but then again maybe it's because I'm surrounded by them.

if that boat would put out a wake worthy of a price north of 150k I bet they will sell. lots on here would disagree but I'd take a tooner layout ANY day over a wakeboat layout. hold more peeps, more social. and imagine pulling up to the beach, dropping the front and kids and grandparents can actually get in and out.

it's not pretty by any means but neither is a heyday and they continue to chip away at the new boat market slowly.

It's like the demon child of a Paragon and Pavati. With a touch of Bass boat or Pontoon. Hard to say.

Just needs a big crew cab straight piped diesel rolling on 54's with a trump flag out back to tow it and you're all good.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

I’ve talked to these guys a bit. I like all the concepts, but the wave is severely lacking... their response is ‘it’s an all purpose boat’.

This is the best pic they have of their wave *♂️
