I got to take my nephews for their first wakesurf ride this last weekend. They had a blast! They both tried it on their own with great attitudes but couldn’t quite make it happen. I think I’m going to have to add a kid’s board to the boat collection.

The three amigos and one cobbled together rope.
My youngest daughter looking to try some airs.
My son going to show me "how you're supposed to do a 360". This is when your body spins but the board does not.
We've only got one goofy surfer so I don't work on my dark side wave that much. We got some length out of it but not much height.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

Apparently I need some lessons in foiling. At long rope right behind the boat you really feel the prop wash throwing you around. I'm not as good at this as I thought I would be after taking 3 attempts just to get up and going.
Quickly learned that once the foil breaches you're toast.
This is how most of my rides ended.
Except for one where I tried to go on my regular surf wave and surf length rope. About 10 seconds into that ride I almost landed in the boat, on the rear deck and the board took a nice ding I think from the back cleat and the wing bit the swim platform. Talk about sketchy...So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?
