Moomba Outback Suddenly Dropping RPMs / Speed

I have a 2007 Outback. Been running great for years. This week, suddenly started dropping RPMs / speed when going above 20 mph. I can occasionally get it to start at high speed if I VERY SLOWLY accelerate, but otherwise it drops to about 16-17 mph and stays there, even if I put the throttle to the floor.

If I drop it into neutral, it will reset and allow accelleration again, but then drops out after about 5-10 seconds of running.

Anyone know what this is or any thoughts?

Sounds somewhat familiar to my boat when the fuel filter in the pump is getting clogged up.
