    Default Ballast empty pump location?

    Hey all,

I’m the new owner of a 2007 Outback direct drive. It has the factory under-the-rear-seat ballast sack. At the end of our first weekend on the lake, the ballast wouldn’t empty...no power to the empty pump. The 3-way toggle switch in the dash works, and the fill pump works. The seller of the boat tested the pumps when I picked it up and it had been working earlier in the weekend. The pump has been replaced in July of this year, per the seller.

Here’s my question...where is the empty pump located in the boat? I know the filler pump is down in the engine compartment, but it seems like empty pump would make more sense to be in the back of the boat near the bladder and the ports where the water exits the boat...

Thanks in advance from a new boat owner!

It’s attached to the hard tank if you have that and not a soft bag under the back seat.

    Thanks Stazi,

I’ve got the soft bag under the seat.
