During boat started to chug and did not want to accelerate. On way back home golf meter wasn't registering Pulled and turned off boat. Completely dead trying to restart. Recharge the battery,
Then Disconnect Negative Battery cable - 1 lead on the battery 1 lead on the cable and you should not read Amp Draw, if you do you need to start disconnecting things until you find the draw.
Easiest test on your alternator is start the boat you should see battery voltage rise to 13-14V
You can also check when the boat is under a load.
If you start the boat and voltage is 12 then you are not charging.Malo <--- Means--Evil or Mean One. This explains a lot.
