    Default v-drive oil change

I was reading a thread the other day where EngineNut said that they are now recommending changing v-drive oil to sae 15w-40 iirc. It's time for me to change all the fluids, should I go with the new stuff or just put in the sae30?

Always use the recommended fluid for your model year.

They did switch from SAE30 to the 15w40 at some model year.

However, what I don’t know is when that change happened, was hard parts changed internally to require the viscosity change.

I would stick with what your year manual calls for, SAE30 non detergent.
