Fluid leak?

Any ideas what this pink fluid might be that is collecting in the base of the hull (right by T plug of my 2020 Makai? Definitely some kind of lubricant but no obvious odor.

Dealer thought it was transmission fluid and found and fixed one small leak, flushed the hull multiple times and tested and couldn't find any further transmission fluid leak...but still getting quite a bit. I've checked all obvious fluid levels and pressures and all seems fine. No operational issues.

Is it thick like ATF or thin like engine coolant? Those are the only two reddish fluids on the boat that I know of.

Reminds me of Ghostbusters II. Like mentioned only two sources for a red/pink liquid on these boats I think. Not sure if the pink coolant has that sweet smell like the green stuff.

How much is pooling up? Looks like a fair amount. Have you checked all your fluid levels to see which one is low? It can only be engine, v-drive, or transmission oil. You don't have a closed loop cooling system do you? It doesn't look like engine and if you don't have a closed loop then it only leaves transmission or v-drive. Probably transmission. With that much i would think the dealer could find the leak pretty easily.

And your coolant level is still good?

On the trip where you took this picture were you using the heaters?

I ask because I have seen posts where people say that the heater hoses will sometime leak coolant at the clamps and need to be tightened. I am not saying that is what this is but might be worth checking. I have the heater option as well and haven’t had an issue (knocks on wood) with it leaking but when I saw those posts I made a mental note to remember to check the heater hoses if I see coolant.

Holy cow. That is a lot of freakin fluid. It's not trivial. I would not take that boat out until the dealer figures out where its coming from. But, as said above, just touch it and rub it between fingers, the thickness of the fluid should quickly tell you if its coolant or tranny fluid. Those are really the only 2 options. Unless one of the kids is pouring cool aid in there just to drive you crazy!

It doesn’t take much spilled transmission fluid (especially if mixing with water) to look like a murder scene. I would flush the bilge out a few more times using a bilge cleaner or degreaser and obviously keep an eye on trans and coolant levels before assuming it’s still leaking.

I had this issue, only it was oil, so it wasnt pink. In the end, it turned out an employee split oil in the engine compartment during a service, and didnt report it. Its really frustrating when you cant find a leak like that. I feel your pain LOL
