we have grey and it does show everything.

temp of gatorstep is all relative. in the desert sun the floor gets too hot to stand on when the sun is 110 at 3 in the afternoon. we put socks on to clean the boat. sure if we had the same boat in wisconsin it would be a non-issue.

    no comparison of tan.

I have the tan gatorstep. I believe it was Seadeck that came with my '15 mojo. I had the non-skid options on bow, gunnels and also Seadeck on the platform. The gatorstep does not get nearly as hot as the Seadeck did on my Mojo's platform. You could fry bacon on a hot day on that thing.
I do have to admit, the gatorstep is very foamy/porous and holds on to all dirt. My SL has been in my possession for < 2 months and the GS already has stains and dirt that will not come out. A quick rinse and the snap in carpet in my Mojo looked like new. This has been my greatest disappointment with GS, the inability to keep it looking clean. Otherwise its comfy, looks good when new and does not get too hot.

My former 2020 SL has Seadek to be specific—is the 2021 back to GatorStep?

Ok, I'm confused. I have a '20 SL, I thought I had GS. I see its Seadeck. Sorry about the confusion.

What is the GS then? The padding on my '15 Mojo was more dense and harder surface, got really hot. Was that GS?

If that's the case then I retract my comments.
The Seadeck does well in sun, does not get nearly as hot, but holds onto all dirt, in my experience.

GS does stain, I could not clean the gunnels, But gets really!! hot. I don't think I could handle GS in the main cabin area. You would have to spray it constantly with water to keep it cool. I would get a nice snap in carpet with Logo instead on a Moomba. I know I'm an outlier on this one but, I actually really liked the snap in carpet in Mojo. I just wished I would've had a nice one with Moomba logo printed. I had the regular midnight grey or something.

    Default Gatorstep colors and temperatures

This is the 2021 gatorstep, it has a “scraped” texture versus the micro dot on seadek.

My take is GS is softer and looks better.

No experience on how easily GS cleans up, but seadek cleans up super easy with something like simple green and an electric powerwasher. Looks like new

Spritz the cleaner on, let it sit for a minute, power wash. Done

    Thanks, I'll try that.

I guess what I had on the Mojo was not GS then. Not sure what it was. I think it was just labeled, non-slip padding on the build sheet. Whatever it was it was not soft, nor cool.

I like the look of that GS on the '21. That looks very nice. I would think that pattern would hide dirt and possible stains better. I could live with that.

2020 Seadek was also scraped....I actually preferred the micro dot stuff you see in the 2018s.
