    Default Surf light

Hey all long time!!! 2018 craz with a single surf light wired to the factory pigtail. It’s a Dagon 5150. When we are parked motor off no issue but when underway it trips the under dash push button breaker. Any smart ideas of what might be up?

    Thanks!!!!!

Casey? So nice of you to grace us with your presence. Sounds like you're pulling too many amps. What is the breaker rated for?
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

Sounds like its getting hot and drawing too much amperage. The circuit protection and wiring need to match the draw of the light, but id also want to know what kind of self preservation the light has. The quality lights either reduce output or cycle off for a period, when the heat up due to the light being out of the water.

Hey. The factory pigtails are wired to a 3 amp fuse. I only wired 1 and it as 2 pigtails. Wouldn’t imagine it’s overloading.

Ha yes. Been away for a bit!!
