    Default Amp getting noise

    Hi

I have installed an amp to power my new tower speakers and conect the psotive and negative directly from the battery becuase im not sure where to ground it on a boat, but when the boat engine is running I get noise on the speakers, and when I start the bilge pump I can hear it on the speakirs, so I wonder if you can give me some advice on where to ground the amp to eliminate the noise or to install filters or any other advise how to get it working right. My boat is a 1998 mobius.

    Thanks

The battery is the best place to ground the amp- check your rca cables and speaker wires, sometimes interference from other current carrying wires will cause a slight "buss". Hope that helps!

Right, make sure the speaker wires are not running with the power cables. Def try to keep them apart.

Don't know exactly where you are mounting the amp but try to use the shortest power, and mainly ground cable length possible. Also make sure you use a good heavy grade. Ditto on running with other power lines.
