Shell Rotella T4???
Hey everyone. Saw this post on the Facebook moomba page.
Can anyone chime in on the information that indicates that Rotella T4 is not recommended anymore?

I've been using Rotella T6 in mine for many years. T4 should be just fine.
Found this online.
Shell Rotella T4 NG Plus 15W-40 meets the specifications for natural gas, diesel and gasoline engines, making it a true multi-vehicle engine oil that will help fleets consolidate the number of engine oils they need in their shop,” said Megan Pino, Shell Rotella Global Brand Manager.Nov 19, 20192005 Mobius LSV

Do you still use the 15w40 weight? Or do you use the 5w30 weight?

If you search the net and find a forum on this, it makes my head spin. I've also used it for many years on my 2007 and I know the bottle changed the API standards a little while back.
I thought the standards changed, not how they produce Shell T4 oil?
Thus if was OK to use the past, why would be be 'bad' now - besides not meeting a current gov't standard?
And from talking to mechanics, viscosity is more important.
I not an oil expert by any means. I know there are some folks on this board in that industry.2018 Supra SL400
