Smell from Engine Bay?
Hi all - have problem I wanted to bounce of the group to see if anyone has experienced this: we have a sweet-vinegar strong smell coming from the engine bay of our 2016 Mondo. I checked for leaks - coolant or other - and found nothing. No dead animals either. Any ideas? Curious to know. Happy floating!

[QUOTE=larry_arizona;354181]Do you need to clean bilge?
Maybe that’s the ticket. I haven’t done it, but I suppose there could be some stagnant to water in there that I cant see. Thx!

It was the bilge! 5 gallons of soapy water, a couple laps around the lake, and everything smells good again. Thanks for the insight.

Dawn works but is not lake friendly. Although they seem to use it to clean ducks in an oil spill.
West marine and star brite bilge cleaners are lake friendlier.
I suppose after you pull boat from lake, you can always put cleaner in bilge and let trailering action do the work, then pull plug at home.
