2008 Moomba LSV not going over 2,000RPM
I have a 2008 Moomba LSV with the Indmar 325HP Engine. A week ago I was running down the lake when the engine cut back on me. After I stopped and went to go again it would not exceed 2,000RPM. Ever since I cannot get the boat to run over 2,000RPM. It runs fine and idles fine. I just replaced the following. Cap, Rotor, Spark Plugs, Impeller, Oil, Oil Filter, Fuel Filter. Non of these have fixed the problem. Does anyone have a solution maybe?

Mine did this when the oil pressure sender failed. Do you have oil pressure at the gauge?

More than likely it has stored a code fault and the ECM has a program to limit the rpm until the problem is fixed. You'll need to scan the ECM and see whats stored. Rinda Technologies make a simple code reader for $60.00 that will tell you what code(s) are stored. You can also find them on ebay I believe. You'll also need the list of codes with the corresponding numbers.

It’s almost like Moomba cruise kicks in when it reaches 2,000. The green like turns solid green and stays on while you are at that speed and rpm

are you sure a regular code reader will work? I have a CEL which Im assuming is a sensor as the boat runs totally fine, but borrowed a buddies reader and i found no connection that works with it. From what reading i did it seems Indmar has a special plug, and reading software that costs a ton of money that you need to read their codes.
