06' Outback drive shaft size
I want to order a dripless shaft seal for my 06' Outback. Does anyone know what the shaft size is or which one I need to order?

Your shaft size 1". You can get them from your Skiers Choice dealer, part number 107007, or you can order from SkiDim.com, item #21705. Both will be around $150.

Which seal are you planning on installing? I ordered the OJ style and after receiving it I'm having second thoughts about installing it. The seal that makes contact with the shaft is a rigid graphite that really looks like it do some scoring to the shaft on break in and if it ever gets out of alignment. Jon, do you know if the #21705 is the style that is going on the '07s?
Although it costs $50 more, the pss shaft seals look like a better design because the rotating seal does not make contact with the shaft itself. It looks like it would eliminate any wear or damage that could happen to the shaft.

I ordered the PSS shaft seal. I should be getting it soon. I thought the same thing when I compared the two, the PSS looks a lot better. If anyone has any tips on installing this please let me know. Thank you.
