    Default Pre summer checklist

This is my first season after winterizing my boat in the fall.

Just wondering what kind of things you guys go over on the boat, trailer etc Before taking it out for the first time of the season.

    Thanks

-batteries, on tender over winter? Should be good

-fuel, stabil over winter? Top with fresh gas

-winterize yourself? 3 blue wingnuts, manifold hose and impeller pump cover...double check all accounted for & tight

    - Got a Fake-a-lake? Run motor off garden hose 15 mins

-Boat & Trailer Registration stickers up to date?

-Copy of 2020 insurance policy in boat

    -Check trailer tire pressure

    - Both drain plugs accounted for?

    - Game Warden stop - Jackets, overboard throw, fire extinguisher

    - Oh Shit kit- knife/mask for prop tangle, hand tools kept on boat, leatherman....really prepared, spare prop w/wknd saver kit.

I'm sure I'm missing a few, just off the top of my head.

I winterize myself so I know what condition the boat is in from last fall.
for me, it's batteries good, air in tires, go to lake and enjoy.

rc's list is good if you don't winterize yourself and need a checklist.

Check all your lights - boat and trailer.

No need to give the Five0 a reason to come check you out.

I also check the horn, blower fan, bilge pump, ballast pumps, interior LEDs, etc.

    And stereo of course.

Also tend to put a screwdriver or wrench on anything visible to make sure it hasn't rattled loose but then again my boat is 19 years old.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?
