    Default Changing gear box

Curiosity here more than anything. I am getting my vdrive gear box replaced due to a bad output shaft seal. (Long story) would it be possible to have them swap the 1:50 ratio gear box for the 1:76 gearing? Would it be in the gearing in the vdrive box where the output shaft is or is it more in the transmission side?

That ratio change is in the V-drive section, where the directing change takes place. The gearbox manufacture might be the best to answer the feasibility of this.

The only real advantage to the greater reduction, is to run a larger wheel. So id ask myself A) can the boat fit a larger wheel, one that the current 1.5:1 would struggle to spin and B) do I benefit from that larger wheel with my current or future use?
