    Default Detailing black gelcoat

Wondering what you guys use for wax/polishing/detailing for your black areas on your boat.
Have a few little light scratches in my black gelcoat and on the swim platform that is like to try and work out.

    Black deck/black hull....

    I use a cleaner wax : https://www.hulaboatcare.com/product...n-cleaner-wax/

Followed by a Polymer sealant: https://www.hulaboatcare.com/product...lymer-sealant/

For detailing, I use the Gnarly water spot remover for general wipe downs and the Surf Away spray detailer for freshly polished shine between washes.

Use code RCH2020 for 10% off HBC products.

Hula Boat Care is made in TX, eco-friendly and the products smell great (no vinegar cat piss to remove water spots on black gel coat)

I have used Chemical Guys products for a long time and love them. they have a heavy compound for oxidations and heavy scratches. They also have a polish for light scratches. their marine wax is great as well.

For light scratches I use Aquabuff 2000. For deep scratches I use Aquabuff 1000. It’s essentially the same as wet sanding. After that I use Colonite cleaner wax followed by Colonite wax. If the scratch has gone all the way through the layer of gel coat then it needs to be filled.

If you're just interested in removing water spots and other stains try Boat Bling hot sauce:

Boat Bling Hot Sauce Premium Hard Water Spot Remover w/High-Gloss Wax Sealants, 32 oz.

Find it on amazon. No matter how ba my boat looks, that stuff is amazing. Makes the gel coat look showroom condition with minimal effort. Just hand scrubbing with a towel. I paid 350$ for a detail, the following year, used the Hot sauce and got just as good results.

+1 on the Hot Sauce. In AZ the water spots get burned onto the hull. I bought the gallon jug of that stuff. Nothing comes close to taking off water spots like Hot Sauce.
