I'm also curious if people have been towing with the GM 6.2L.

I wanted to stay with gas. I know the 2500 GM 6.0 will be a stiffer ride and thirstier daily driver, but I'm not getting that great of mpg on my 5.3 1500.

Gear ratio makes a huge difference in towing capacity.

Agree. I do not follow the SUVs that much, been a few years since I sold my Tahoe.

I thought the SUVs offered the 3.08 and 3.23 depending on the motor. Probably around 8-9K of max trailering. I assume the also offer those max towing packages on the 3.42.

Also depends on the transmissions, 6,8,10 speeds will all get different axle gear ratio.
